auction proceduresAbsentee BidsRegistration for absentee bidding is available online, by phone or in person until 5:00 pm on Friday, August 10, 2007. Absentee bid forms are available for download here. Registration All bidders must register and bid by using a bidder number. Bidder registration is free and will be available at the 2007 Annual Art Auction beginning at 11:00 am the day of the auction on the porch of the Fischer Photography Center. Silent Auction: Assured Buy To guarantee that you are the successful bidder on a silent auction item, you may enter your bidder number next to the Assured Buy price and immediately own the piece. The Assured Buy price is set at a premium above the fair market value of the piece. The portion paid for an item above the fair market value is a tax deductible gift to Anderson Ranch. Absentee bids at the Assured Buy level will be placed 30 minutes after the silent auction opens. Silent Auction: Multiple Rooms & Staggered Closings The silent auction is comprised of two color-coded rooms in the Wyly Painting Building. While both rooms open at 11:30 am, the rooms will be closed one at a time.
Live Auction The live auction will begin at 1:30 pm sharp. Bid by raising your bidder paddle so the auctioneer or a bid spotter may accept your bid. The highest bid acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be deemed a legal contract to purchase the item by that bidder. A bid runner will bring an invoice to the winning bidder for signature. Shipping Millennium Packaging & Shipping (MPS) will be on hand to provide shipping services should you wish to ship your items. The cost of packaging and shipping services is additional and must be settled separately with MPS. Insurance arrangements are strictly between the purchaser and MPS. |
