Katherine Bell is the Children’s and Outreach Program Manager. A native of Colorado, Katherine Bell graduated from the Colorado College in 2008 with a BA in Art History and Studio Art. Prior to joining the Anderson Ranch staff, she worked as an outreach educator for the Aspen Art Museum and traveled to South America where she volunteered with community based outreach and children’s art programs. Doug, director since 1985, teaches, lectures, builds kilns and exhibits his art worldwide. He has served as ceramics program consultant to the United Nations, is a board member for the Carbondale Clay Center, and was invited, along with Takashi Nakazato, as guest artist to the Shigaraki Ceramics Research Institute. Kelly Garrett joined Anderson Ranch Art Center in November of 2012 as an Administrative Assistant. Kelly is a Snowmass Village native who studied the Fine Arts at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Kelly participated in various children’s workshops at Anderson Ranch as a child, and has had a love for the ranch and its mission ever since. John received his BFA in ceramics from the University of Oregon and a Masters in sculpture from Alfred University. He poured iron with Kohler’s Arts & Industry program, and has built custom cabinets, furniture, and homes around the States and Europe. Born and raised in O’ahu, Hawai’i, Geri bloomed in California, receiving her B.A. in Conceptual/Information Arts from San Francisco State Univeristy. After biking around with wild heart, a zest for political protest, food activism, and primal art, in 2009, she found herself in Colorado, and it simply took her breath away. Josh Meier holds a B.F.A. from the University of Kansas and has received fellowships from the New York Studio School and from Anderson Ranch. Jenene Nagy is a visual artist living and working in Aspen and Los Angeles. She received her BFA from the University of Arizona in 1998 and her MFA from the University of Oregon in 2004. Nagy’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including the Portland Art Museum, Weatherspoon Art Museum, Torrance Art Museum, Takt Kunstprojektraum in Berlin, Germany, and Dam Stuhltrager in NY, among others. Recent awards include an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Oregon Arts Commission, and a three-month residency at Raid Projects in Los Angeles and in 2011 Nagy was named as a finalist for the Contemporary NW Art Awards. Along with a rigorous studio practice, Nagy is one half of the independent curatorial team TILT Export:, an independent art initiative with no fixed location, working in partnership with a variety of venues to produce exhibitions. Brooke joined the marketing department in May of 2014. A graduate of Miami University in Ohio, Brooke has worked as a designer for more than 15 years for both local and national clients, creating licensed artwork and consumer packaged goods for mass retail. She was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Grant for painting a Crested Butte, CO public transit bus, which is still rolling around the mountains today.
