Instant Soup
This exhibition features artwork from the Ranch’s fall resident artists. On view October 20 – November 20, 2009 in the Patton-Malott Gallery.

I Love My Love with a J
This exhibition features the work of Janice Jakielski, a mixed media installation artist whose fabricated objects for the bodyaddress issues of communication, distance and desire. Through the use of luscious fabrics, vibrant colors and intricate surfaces,Janice invites the viewer to use and explore the objects creating a multisensory experience. GARTNER GALLERY CALL FOR ENTRIES

Anderson Ranch is hosting a call for entry to artists to submit a proposal for a solo exhibition in our Gideon Gartner Gallery.

The Gideon Gartner Gallery showcases experimental and site-specific artwork. The exhibitions will feature a single artist and will showcase the Ranch's long history of creating dynamic and ground-breaking work. Two separate exhibitions are available - one in October 2009 and one in February 2010.

February Exhibition Schedule

February 9 – March 2, 2010
• Deadline for submitting a proposal is January 8, 2010
• Notification will be made January 15, 2010
• Artist installs exhibition February 4 – 5, 2010
• Opening reception February 9, 2010
• Artist de-installs exhibition March 3 – 4, 2010

Exhibition Guidelines
All artists, individuals or collaborations are welcome and invited to submit a proposal. We encourage proposals from across the diverse spectrum of the visual arts.

Gideon Gartner Gallery is located on the third floor of the Dows Barn administration building directly above the Patton-Malott Gallery. The space is 308 inches long x 210 inches wide (minus a 62” x 52” stairwell opening). The gallery has one wall 308 inches long x 94 inches high that is used to display artwork. Please see attached gallery floor plan for more detailed description of the space.

If selected, artists will be responsible for the installation and de-installation of their exhibition during the scheduled dates listed above and must return the exhibition space to the condition in which they found it.

UPCOMING DECEMBER EXHIBITIONS AT ANDERSON RANCH

December 8
Digital to Physical opening reception, 5 – 7 pm
A juried exhibition of 2D, 3D, and single-channel time-based work created using digital technology. Juried by Kirsten Gerdes Stoltz, Associate Curator of Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. On view December 8 – January 29, 2010 in the Patton-Malott Gallery.

December 8
Annual Holiday Open House
Children’s ornament decorating, 4 – 5:30 pm
Children are invited to participate in an ornament decorating activity in the reception area.

Open studios, 5 – 7 pm
To celebrate the holidays, the Ranch opens its doors to the community. Follow candle-lit paths leading to the studios of our staff and resident artists.

Holiday ornament sale, 5 – 7 pm
Handmade holiday decorations and ornaments made by local artists will be available for purchase in the reception area.

Dinner at the Ranch Cafι, 6:30 – 7:30 pm, $15/adults
Visitors are invited to join us for an informal dinner.
