Make it Move
Remember when creating animation meant thumbing the pages of a flip book? Unleash your imagination and make a rock walk across the road or turn a pair of scissors into a hungry monster. We learn the basics of animation, capturing images and manipulating them on the computer. Each child completes an animated sequence using techniques such as stop motion and classic squash-and-stretch. We work on MacBook laptops, using iPhoto and iMovie software, and use digital cameras. Bring your own camera if you have one. Presented in partnership with Youth Entity. http://www.youthentity.org/ ...more

Painted Poetry: digital storytelling
Using artist Georgia O'Keeffe and poets Terry Tempest Williams and Mary Oliver as guides, we explore the world of text, imagery and digital tools. Images become visual poems about nature, capturing each child's voice about the world around them. Presented in partnership with Youth Entity. http://www.youthentity.org/ ...more
