Working in painting, printmaking and ceramics, Holly Hughes’ work is inspired by decorative arts and nature. Recent exhibitions include a salon style museum installation, “Blazon,” at the Dorsky Museum. A frequent Anderson Ranch faculty member, Holly is Full Professor in Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Mark Shapiro and Sam Taylor have been doing pottery projects together for over 25 years. They currently focus on potter-produced events. They have both taught many workshops nationally and internationally and are founding members of POW! (Pots on Wheels!). Mark edited A Chosen Path: the Ceramic Art of Karen Karnes and is directing the Apprenticelines project. Sam collaborates with a diverse community in his firings at his Dog Bar Pottery. Both Mark and Sam are full-time studio potters in western Massachusetts.
