Another eventful week at Anderson Ranch as Visiting Artist Enrique Martínez Celaya began the second year of his Advanced Mentored Study workshop in painting and gave the first Chairman’s Choice Presentation. The children’s workshop is busy creating the ultimate “parade experience” for the Old-Fashioned 4th of July celebration in Aspen. Students in photography are working with David Hilliard and Andrea Wallace on “The Photograph as a Language: the art of visual storytelling.” The “Intense Drawing” workshop is focusing on the female figure and in sculpture, Evan Blackstock’s workshop is exploring 3-D forms with the CNC Plasma cutter.
