Guest Services Coordinator

Summary

The Guest Services Coordinator’s purpose is to facilitate seasonal housing needs for visiting artists, guest faculty, interns, and workshop students. Hospitality and customer service is a top priority of Anderson Ranch, and this position is essential to this mission. The Guest Services Coordinator is one of the first contact students, visitors, and supporters have when they call or arrive at Anderson Ranch. In addition, this position provides support to the Operations Manager in the realms of the daily operations of the Ranch.

 


Guest Services

  • Provide a warm welcome for Sunday guest arrivals, distribute welcome packets,

  • Escort guests to their on campus accommodations or provide directions if off

  • Organize and maintain linen, housekeeping supply and guest key inventories

  • Coordinate housekeeping services

  • Carry guest services mobile phone and respond to after-hours calls (until 9:00pm)

  • Anticipate, comply and follow up on any requests housing guests may have

  • Provide a fond farewell to departing guests

  • Perform guest room check in inspections

  • Create welcome packets

  • Organize and re-shelve library books, tidy up library


Front Desk

  • Greet, receive and assist all who come to the front desk with various needs, requests and information

  • Answer Ranch main phone, provide general information and re-direct calls

  • Process sales for the ArtWorks store and galleries & provide support to front desk staff

  • Learn about the supplies, books, gift items, artists and artwork for sale in the store

  • Assist patrons in the store, offering information and suggestions about items

  • Complies with standards of appearance and service efforts for all guests at the front desk


Requirements

Ideal candidate for the position of Guest Services Coordinator will have  the following:

  • Relevant hospitality experience

  • Some Spanish communication skills (helpful but not required)

  • Creative Problem Skills
  • Desire to be part of a winning team

  • Have the capability of working independently

  • Have an interest in the visual arts

Compensation

16.00/hr plus a shift meal when the café is open.

Work Schedule

This seasonal hourly position works 32 – 40hr/week Thursday through Monday mid-May through mid-October. Ability to work weekends is necessary. Additional shifts are also available during special event and peak weeks in July, August, December, January and other occasions in winter months.
