Concept:

In this dreamy and whimsical workshop, students take their inspiration from Shakespeare’s play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” as they create enchanted art projects. Glittery potions, fairy houses from recycled materials and natural found objects, forest sprite crowns, magical wands and more are created! Students also read passages from Shakespeare’s humorous play and other fairy tales as they write a collective story to illustrate together. The workshop uses all types of artistic materials such as watercolors, colored pencils, Sharpies, paint, felt, ribbon and, of course, lots of glitter! This magical week is sure to capture the imagination as students dream up fantastical artworks to take home.
