The 100th Anniversary of the Bauhaus is one of the great cultural events of 2019. In this workshop, we celebrate the Bauhaus design school from Germany and become inspired by Bauhaus art and ideas. We discover the great artists who helped define Bauhaus principles, such as Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Oskar Schlemmer and Herbert Bayer, who later in his career had an influential impact on Aspen, Colorado. Students use a wide range of artistic mediums and engage in processes integral to the Bauhaus such as drawing, collage, graphic design, color theory and more! Students create wildly creative 2-D and 3-D works of art that celebrate 100 years of Bauhaus.
