Think outside the frame in this evocative workshop that encourages students to explore new techniques in photographic image-making. Participants learn the art of collage, employing the scanner, camera and physical surface manipulation. This process allows one to explore the edges of perception with a focus on time, surface, line and play. Conceptually, students explore the boundaries between fiction and reality, between two dimensions and three, infusing new meaning into an expanded physical framework.
Alternative printing methods, image sequencing, layering and image compositing using Adobe Photoshop, found or constructed images, digital and physical collage, insertion of photographic collages into predetermined sites and re-photographing in a different context
