Concept:

Enter the world of one of the most vibrant and immediate artistic mediums: collage. In this dynamic workshop, we discover and experiment with collage assembly techniques, investigate methods for the generation of ideas, and learn how to talk about artwork that is made in class. Each workshop exercise begins with a demonstration and encourages students to explore new techniques in unique ways. You have the opportunity to playfully combine new materials and approaches to create individual works of art made with the support of the instructor.

Media & Techniques:

We use various collage media such as paper, fabric, etc., and water-based paint, drawing media, gluing techniques, collage and transfers.

Activities:

Students engage in an introduction to collage, paint and drawing media used in combination. Demonstrations, exercises, discussions and one-on-one support from the instructor occur daily.
