Concept:

Explore your photographic motivations in a truly unique workshop where students look at two categories of photographers: hunters who capture their images as they exist in the world, and farmers who cultivate their photos via staged or constructed strategies. Both camps of image making are valid and wide ranging. Students are guided through a series of exercises in which they are asked to approach a subject or subjects utilizing both hunting and farming practices. Participants are given an overview of their respective histories.

Digital photography, a digital workflow with Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop, digital printmaking techniques, field trips to complement studio activities

Faculty:

David Hilliard received an MFA from Yale University. He is a regular visiting faculty at Harvard University, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
