Expand your artistic skills and imagination to create a powerful display of KAPOW! In this fun and exciting workshop, we consider the unique traits that make us fly: kindness, intelligence, nutrition, love and strength, among others. What makes a superhero super duper? As we examine the illustrations of Nicole Gogolak in the children’s book, “How to be a Super-Duper Superhero,” we begin to create our own heroic characters through drawings, paintings, and even a sculptural version of our own masked marvels! We wrap up the course by donning personally created capes for all to see.
Nicole Nagel Gogolak received her M.F.A. in fiber from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. She is a locally-based artist who works in a variety of mediums including encaustic, resin and aluminum.
