Unleash your imagination and go on an adventure to where the wild things live! In this multimedia workshop, we tap into our creative side to craft monsters of all shapes and sizes. Students begin the week by sketching out kooky creatures with colored pencils, watercolors and pastels. We then bring our favorites to life using hand sewing and printmaking techniques. Students make a family of marvelous monsters in soft sculpture materials including felt, fabric, frills and stuffing. We even take time to make clothing for our monster friends to wear using traditional block printing techniques. Finally, we make sure our monsters are well fed by creating a plate, bowl and cup out of clay perfect for mini monster meals!
