Turn your tabletop into a work of art through this exploratory workshop that focuses on crafting bowls, cups and plates. Designed to examine and develop your personal pottery skills, this is a make-only workshop. The instructor presents a variety of practical methods for making pieces on the potter’s wheel, extruder and slabs. We complement daily work with discussions and demonstrations that highlight creative ideas for tableware. If you’ve always been interested in ceramics, and adding some personal style to your dining table, you won’t want to miss this course.
Media & Techniques:
Students work with stoneware clays and bisque firing only. We also explore wheel throwing, hand building and press molds.
Each day includes demonstrations, individual instruction and exploration with clay.
