Studio hours are Monday – Friday 9AM to 5PM, dorm housing is not available, and the Cafe is only open for lunch.


This intensive workshop focuses on refining techniques and learning new possibilities with utilitarian pots. Guest chef Barclay Dodge discusses presentation, creative decision-making and seasonal influences. Studio work and firings culminate in a multi-course meal served at his acclaimed Aspen restaurant, Bosq. There are lectures on historical and contemporary ceramics, professional development and social outreach. Lectures, discussions and presentations center on pottery as it functions in both display and service. There are field trips to restaurants and local farms.

Alleghany Meadows is a studio potter in Carbondale, CO. He has an MFA from Alfred University and is the recipient of a Watson Fellowship for study of potters in Nepal and a Gropius Master Artist Award from the Huntington Museum of Art.

Barclay Dodge has spent the last thirty years traveling the globe exploring cultures and cuisine, and working in Michelin starred restaurants in Spain, New York and California. Chef Dodge opened Bosq in Aspen in 2016.
