Explore the visual language of images and nurture passion for photography through an atmosphere of exploration, practice and play in this dynamic at home workshop. Live video conferencing is used to give a mixture of demonstrations, group meetings, one on one coaching and view student work. Participants learn aspects of photography through live and prerecorded videos, at home projects and downloadable instructional materials. Students examine how great photographs engage us visually, emotionally and intellectually. Image-making abilities are improved by focusing on both the technical aspects of a photograph and the ideas behind it, including a look at great photographers both past and present. Participants work on storytelling, capturing the environment and digital image creation using Adobe Photoshop. Students learn to edit, retouch and discover ways to combine, blend and mix photographs together.
