Participants develop an understanding for aesthetic and functional elements of a rocking chair through this hands-on experience.

Media & Techniques:

Working with kiln-dried lumber, students review safe milling procedures and proper use of hand and power tools. Students also use Sam Maloof-inspired joinery and learn new construction techniques including layout, shaping, function and wood selection.
