Media & Techniques:

Students work with digital SLR cameras. We use Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Bridge and Photoshop to edit, process and print images.

Embark on field trips and explore a broad spectrum of natural environments, dramatic locations and sensational backdrops. The instructor discusses how to approach people, the secrets of body language, understanding local culture, being sensitive and flexible, and the technical aspects of the camera. We consider equipment and digital concerns in different travel environments, ways to photograph people, lighting, and the understanding of color.

Terry Abrams teaches college photography and travel photography workshops, and he produces fine-art photographs for corporate and private clients. His images and teachings are reproduced in numerous books. Terry lived overseas for 13 years, studied with Paul Caponigro and Arnold Newman.
