Take a journey into the extraordinary world of Vincent van Gogh. What makes his style so beloved by people around the world? Why did he use such thick paint to express himself? Was his favorite color really yellow? We ask ourselves these questions and more in daily lessons about the artist. We consider the unique artistic style and expressive qualities of Van Gogh’s paintings as we craft our own artwork inspired by him. Students make ceramic sunflower vases, oversized paint brush sculptures, Starry Night painted canvases and skillful self portraits throughout the week. Join us on this incredibly colorful and imaginative week of art!
