Summer Workshops begin after Memorial Day and run through the end of September, Fall Workshops run October through December and Spring Workshops run February through April. They range in length from two days to three weeks. More than 1,300 adults and children attend the Ranch's workshops each year.
Workshops at the Ranch are designed for experienced artists and those just beginning their creative process. Most workshops are open enrollment, depending on the skill level, however, due to the popularity of certain classes, enrollment may be determined by a lottery system. The schedule of classes is published online www.andersonranch.org/workshops
and in printed catalog form availble each January. Many classes fill up shortly after the schedule is announced. Two-thirds of our workshop students travel from outside Colorado to take a course here. Class size is usually limited to 12 students. In each class, there is one faculty member and at least one intern. In addition, there is a program director and studio manager available. Most classes run from 9:00 am until late afternoon. Students have access to their studio/classroom 24 hours a day during their class period. Most workshop faculty members have professional studio practices and teach in established accredited schools of visual art throughout the United States and abroad. In general, you can expect a general orientation on Monday morning, and to be in the studios and creating almost immediately. Students receive great facilities, hands-on instruction and attention, opportunities for collaborating and sharing ideas and materials from other nearby workshops, great camaraderie and food, and a beautiful, peaceful pastoral atmosphere in which to create.

There are a variety of affordable meal and housing options ranging from camping to deluxe private condos, and meal punch cards to full meal plans.
