A community of friends and supporters.
Friends and supporters of Anderson Ranch are a central part of the Ranch family. The loyalty and deep friendships that form and grow within this group and our community of artists is truly inspiring.
During uncertain times, our commitment to bringing artists and audiences together has not changed, even if the circumstances have. We are adding exclusive, members-only virtual programming in the weeks ahead to keep you intellectually stimulated, engaged and inspired. Updated information will be added to this page and emailed to you as well. We hope you will join us!
Check out our summer events:
- July 16 | Un-Gala
We will hold our summer gala virtually this year – in a new format. Please continue to save the previously announced date of Thursday, July 16. We plan to inspire and delight as we have always done in the past. For more information, click here.
- July 21 | Program with BOOM author Michael Shnayerson
Michael Shnayerson, long-time staff writer for Vanity Fair will discuss his latest book, “BOOM: Mad Money Mega Dealers and the Rise of Contemporary Art.” The story of how a few passionate dealers helped hatch a global market for post-war art, aided, of course, by a dazzling array of artists, collectors and curators. With thanks to Karen Lord, Liza Mauck and Leigh Smith, we are gifting all National Council members a copy of the book. If you have not already, please let Hannah Thompson know if you would like a book and where you would like it mailed.
- August 4, 4PM MST/6PM EST | Honesty in the Making with Simonette Quamina
What does it mean to create an honest, or authentic, work of art? How does working from the perspective of personal narrative present specific challenges? Many contemporary artists are delving into deeply intimate subject matter while at the same time exploring history, cultural indicators and engaging in the practice of visual storytelling. This exciting virtual program, moderated by Liz Ferrill, Artistic Director of Painting, Drawing & Printmaking, embarks upon an in-depth conversation with artist Simonette Quamina regarding the ways in which she embraces, and rebels against, expectations and confines of the art world. For more information click here.
- Summer Gatherings: As the current situation evolves into the summer, we will evaluate what types and sizes of gatherings we can arrange that are fun, inspiring and safe.
The support of National Council members is critical to our success. If you are able to renew your membership this year, or are able to join for the first time, please let Development Director Hannah Thompson know by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 609/309-1026. We would be happy to renew your membership now and invoice you later in the year.
As we plan for the future during these uncertain times, counting on your support means a great deal.
