Concept

Intriguing inchworms, fascinating fireflies, and fluttering butterflies are just a few of the colorful creatures that we will create in this weeklong workshop. As we learn about their environment and characteristics, we discover many beautiful aspects of these unique critters. We will craft birds, bugs and animals, big and small, using various media. Clay, papier mâché, watercolor and tempera paint, glue, glitter, beads, feathers, yarn and some found objects are just some of the items that will be used to create our one of a kind works of art. Books and songs that celebrate our fury, fuzzy and fantastical friends will be shared to make this playful and productive workshop something that children will treasure for a long time to come.
