September 13, 2019

Posted In: Events, Locals' Clubs

FREE and open to the public

The Photography Salon welcomes all who have an interest in photography and lens-based media regardless of their level of expertise. We further our understanding of photography as a visual language and art form through photographic presentations, discussions and portfolio reviews. We invite you to join us!

This month we welcome Artists-in-Residence Clay Jordan and Amanda Musick.

Clay Maxwell Jordan is a photographer who has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally.  He is a 2019 MacDowell fellow and currently resides in Athens, Georgia. His first monograph, “Nothing’s Coming Soon,” was published in February of 2019 by Fall Line Press.

Amanda Musick (b.1990 Kingsport, TN) is an artist and educator working in Upstate South Carolina. Musick uses photography and sculpture exploring how a photograph can operate to represent the landscape. In her studio practice she uses photographic prints and assembles them into forms that investigate our relationship to the natural environment. She received her BFA in Studio Art from East Tennessee State University and her MFA in Photography from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina in 2018. Musick will be an Artist-in-Residence at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in the Fall of 2019.
