Where are you from originally?

I was born and raised in Maryland, in the Washington D.C. area.

How did you find out about Anderson Ranch Arts Center?

I first came to the Ranch in 2013 through a scholarship program offered by Anderson Ranch and Rhode Island School of Design. I had the chance to study the Maloof Style with Larry White. The ideas and techniques introduced in this class have become invaluable in my practice.

What is your favorite part about Anderson Ranch so far?

I love the access to great making facilities offered by the Ranch. The woodshed offers all tools and resources necessary to experiment and create new work.

What are you working on during your residency?

I am working on a series of geometric lights that are created using a combination of digital fabrication and hand crafting.

How would you describe your artistic practice?

I am a designer and woodworker who is inspired by technology and enjoys combining the hand and the digital to create objects that use repletion to create form.

What inspires you to create art?

Technology, manufacturing and materials.

How do you spend your time when not working in the studio?

I hike, snuggle with my pup, binge on bad sitcoms and read the newspaper.
