Join us for an engaging guest artist lecture, part of the Anderson Ranch’s summer of free artist lectures in Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado.
Held on Sunday and Tuesday evenings from June through September, these events highlight renowned contemporary artists and faculty through dynamic slideshow presentations. Artists share insights into their creative process, studio practice, influences, and current work, offering a behind-the-scenes look at contemporary art today. Connect with leading artists and discover new ideas in a welcoming, creative setting.

Speaker
Jean Shin
Jean Shin is known for her public sculptures, transforming accumulations of discarded objects into powerful monuments that interrogate our complex relationship between material consumption, collective identity, and community engagement. Her work has been widely exhibited and collected in over 150 major museums and cultural institutions, including solo exhibitions at The Museum of Modern Art in New York, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC.
Matt Eich
Matt Eich is a photographic essayist working on long-form photobook works related to memory, family, community, and the American condition. He is the author of five monographs. Eich teaches at Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at the George Washington University, makes books under the imprint Little Oak.PRESS, and resides in Virginia.

The Café is available to Ranch students, faculty, and staff only from October through May.
