From the Aspen Airport (ASE) | 6.5 miles
The Ranch is conveniently located in Snowmass Village, Colo., just 15 minutes from Aspen. The public transportation system, Roaring Fork Transit Authority (RFTA), connects these two vibrant communities and is free to ride. Buses and shuttles are fast, fun and frequent. This makes renting a car unnecessary for students who fly into the Pitkin County Airport in Aspen (ASE).
From the Aspen airport, it’s easy to hop on the local bus (rfta.com), which is free and takes about 20 minutes, depending on transfers. Or, take High Mountain Taxi (hmtaxi.com), which is about a 10-minute ride.
It’s easy to ride the bus from the Aspen Airport to Anderson Ranch! All fares are free.
- Simply walk to the bus stop from the Aspen Airport baggage claim. Use the underpass to reach the downvalley bus stop across Highway 82.
- Take any bus to the Brush Creek/Intercept Lot (it is the first stop!). At the Brush Creek/Intercept Lot, find the Snowmass Village waiting area.
- Hop aboard the Snowmass Village bus. Get off at the Owl Creek Road stop. Anderson Ranch is located just steps off of Owl Creek Road.
From the Eagle County / Vail Airport (EGE) | 67 miles
Several airlines have summer service into Eagle County Airport (EGE), which is about 90 minutes driving time from Anderson Ranch. You would need to rent a car, however, since ground transportation to the Snowmass Village area is not available.
From the Denver Airport (DEN) | 220 miles
If coming by car, follow the directions below from Denver; allow approximately four hours for the drive. For information on ground transportation between D.I.A. and the Aspen Snowmass area, please contact Roaring Fork Express online at roaringforkexpress.com or call 970-486-3002 or 800-822-4844 to book a shuttle.
A special note about parking
Anderson Ranch’s parking capacity is very limited. For most workshops, you do not need a car. Frequent buses (rfta.com or 970/925-8484) and shuttles (snowmasstransit.com or 970/923-2543) run to Snowmass Village and Aspen, and are free to ride. There are also taxis (High Mountain Taxi ― hmtaxi.com or 970/925-8294) and airport limos (Colorado Mountain Express coloradomountainexpress.com or 970/754-7433). Students are strongly encouraged to use free public transportation.
