Pattern and Geometry in Acrylic
Amber Heaton
Tuition $1,155
Code D0532-22
Delve into the complexity, or simplicity, of working with systems and patterns to create dynamic paintings in acrylic during this exciting workshop for artists of all levels. Students learn techniques associated with the myriad ways to approach overlapping and interwoven patterns, with emphasis on color and shape interactions to create space. Demonstrations also cover preparing wood panels, techniques of taping, as well as painting geometrically in a freehand method. Discussions spark the potential for content embedded in geometric abstraction and its ability to reference the world around us.
