Sculpture and Performance
Sculpture is a wide-ranging medium that can be light, hurried, heavy or immobile. Performance can embody a scope of experiences and can be thoughtful, improvisational and ritualistic. Throughout the week, participants create connections between object and self to explore the possibilities for combinations of interactions. Using various materials including found objects, plaster casts and wood, objects are produced in varying scales. Connections and experiments between the object and maker are then explored through performance. Finding the balance between object, movement, documentation and presentation are at the center of the workshop.
