Acrylic: the range of possibilities
Develop a variety of acrylic painting techniques ranging from the very precise and geometric to the more spontaneous and organic in this exciting online workshop. Using these techniques, students learn to push their paintings into new complex territory while also learning to express a strong voice through their work. In addition to the exploration of hard-edge painting, soft-dry brush painting and other techniques, we discover transparency, opacity and a wide array of possibilities in color. Students are also encouraged to combine mixed-media elements into their paintings either on the surface or embedded in the paint. This workshop meets via Zoom Video Conferencing software (download free from Zoom.com). An Anderson Ranch staff member co-teaches the class and coordinates the online platform. Further details will be emailed to registrants.
