Bunny Burson

Bunny Burson is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Connecticut. She received her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis. Burson experiments with diverse media and processes to create work addressing historical and contemporary issues. In recent years, the exploration of her family history has led her to examine and depict her genetic history, connecting past, present, and future generations through science and art.

Burson’s work is in the permanent collections of the Ellison Medical Institute at the University of Southern California, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Perez Art Museum Miami, the St. Louis Art Museum, the United States Library of Congress, the Israel Museum, and the Stanford, Columbia, and Princeton University libraries. Burson was the recipient of an artist residency at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris, France. She is the former Executive Director of the United States President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.

Burson has been a neighbor and friend of the Ranch for many years, working in the studios, and serving on the board of directors from 2010-2017. Burson is represented by Bruno David Gallery, in Saint Louis, Missouri.
