Collagraph: Touch Seen

Derick Wycherly

Tuition $1,050
Code R0101-22

Participants in this exploratory, combined-technique printmaking course create a series of prints while developing imagery and a tactile familiarity with the medium. The creative design experience of composing images in layers of ink printed in registration is both controlled and improvisational. Collagraph matrices are sculpturally constructed by collaging found objects that, through the printing process, are transfigured from mundane matter into a graphic reality of color, texture, shape, line and the artist’s inky initiative on paper. The possibilities are open for making small editions, variable monoprints and unique monotypes.
