Painted Paper Collage: Color, Cut and Paste

Diana Guerrero-Maciá

Tuition $1,195
Code D0204-23

In this exploratory workshop, students of all levels create a series of collages that engage the picture plane with found materials, images, painted paper, hand-manipulated imagery, and layers adhered on paper. Students are encouraged to gather repurposed materials in conjunction with painted surfaces to make collages that address the subject matter of their choosing. Image lectures, readings, and studio discussions emphasize the critical use of found images, color, and material used within collage practices. Students are encouraged to create and complete a cohesive body of collage work that incorporates new techniques and ideas.
