Body Impressions: Casting, Fabrication and Found Materials
Consider the body and its intersection with fabricated and found elements in this exciting and exploratory sculpture workshop designed to add new tools and skills to your studio practice. This dynamic workshop explores the plaster-casting technique and encourages experimentation to join cast parts of the body with metal fabrication and found objects to create unique figurative works. Students may also cast objects that can be assembled and integrated into sculptural structures/compositions. Rigor, exploration and skill-building are the focus of this fast-paced and hands-on week of art-making.
