Image Transfer and Collage: Paper, Fabric and Stencil
Kristy Deetz
Tuition $1,225
Code D1226-24
In this exciting and experimental mixed-media acrylic painting workshop, participants explore the opaque and translucent possibilities of image transfer. Transferring images with various acrylic mediums onto paper and fabric uncovers dynamic associations between the images, patterns in the fabric, characteristics of the substrate, and the painted mark. Stencils and collage provide additional new approaches to layering and more ways to reveal and conceal surface, substrate, and idea. Students generate new tools to add to their studio practice as well as plenty of time to experiment and push their imagery in new ways.
