Indigenous Plants in Mixed Media
Explore the exciting combination of painting with fabric applique (no sewing method) and seed bead embroidery with Indigenous plants of the Colorado Rockies as the primary theme and focus. Students begin by collecting plants outdoors to use as our subject matter and spend the rest of class time in the studio learning the incorporation of various materials. Participants explore fabric and seed bead embroidery embellishments in combinations with painting to create one or a series of multilayered, mixed-media works.
