In this mixed-media workshop, students of all levels experiment with works on paper. We focus on developing perceptive drawing skills, simultaneously exploring the combination of a variety of media. This workshop also introduces students to safe, non-toxic printmaking methods which combine with drawing but don’t require a press and can be applied outside of the studio. We allow for unexpected results to occur with the use of familiar materials in unconventional ways, serving as a means to foster new ideas.

Experiment with works on paper in this virtual, mixed-media workshop open to students of all levels. This course focuses on the development of perspective drawing skills in combination with the use of other media. This workshop introduces students to safe, nontoxic methods in printmaking to combine with drawings that don’t require a press and that can be applied outside of the studio. Unexpected results are encouraged as a means of fostering new ideas. Technical demonstrations and critiques will be facilitated via video conferencing software. This workshop meets via Zoom Video Conferencing software (download free from Zoom.com). An Anderson Ranch staff member co-teaches the class and coordinates the online platform.
