Concept
Dive into the world of abstract art and become inspired by the colors, shapes, textures, and materials. Create vibrant watercolor prints, three-dimensional sculptures, oil pastel and paper collages, and so much more! We use unconventional materials to explore the likes of Helen Frankenthaler, Picasso, Joan Miro, Alma Woodsey Thomas among others. Our experiences, stories and feelings guide us to create our own personal touches on these absolutely artful abstractions!
Faculty
Hannah Baker
Hannah Baker is an artist and educator at Aspen Middle School. She is originally from Michigan, where she learned to be curious and aware of the space around her. She earned a BA in Art History and German from the University of Michigan and a MA in Teaching at Maryland Institute College of Art. She wants students to know their ideas have value, to be able to problem solve how to express these ideas and understand the impact their creations have on others

Scholarships, College Credit & Discounts
Making Art Accessible
Applications for scholarship support are encouraged. Specific scholarships are funded by Ranch supporters, either through endowed funds or special gifts.
Many colleges and universities offer college credit for workshops taken at Anderson Ranch. Discounts are available for students and teachers.
