Celebrate the beginning of summer right by rooting in nature and art making. We bring inspiration and materials from the outdoors into the art studio, and bring artistic creativity outside by exploring the flora and fauna found on Anderson Ranch’s campus and along adjacent trails. As a celebratory finale, we feature our variety of multimedia artworks from our week spent painting, printmaking, bookmaking, handbuilding with clay, and experimenting in an exhibition! Projects include a handmade nature journal, a collaborative painting made with recycled materials, a pressed flower crown, and more!

Basics of Game Design in Scratch
Rafael Fajardo
Tuition $595
Code P0204-23
*ADDITIONAL SECTION ADDED AUGUST 7-11* In this workshop each participant learns to create at least one, small, complete video game in Scratch. We will be inclusive, welcoming, loose, and quick in our process as we explore game design in an art context. Scratch is a delightfully inviting programming environment that rewards tinkering and exploration. There are a combination of do-as-I-do demonstrations and prompting to create a game of one's own. We encourage making one's own characters and telling one's own stories. This workshop is open to learners at all levels. Se habla español.
