Concept
In this colorful, high-energy workshop, we explore the transformative power of art! Inspired by American sculptor, performance artist, and dancer Nick Cave, we combine visual art, sculpture, sound, movement, and storytelling into a week-long creative adventure.
We play with color and texture through collage, drawing, painting, and sculpture. Using imagination and a variety of recycled materials, we design and build our own mixed-media wearable art pieces inspired by Cave’s Soundsuits. This workshop celebrates creativity, self-expression, and joy. The week culminates with an exhibition and a live presentation, where we showcase our wearable art for parents and families to enjoy!

Annie Bell
Annie Bell is a visual artist and educator based in the Roaring Fork Valley. In her artistic practice, she works with locally salvaged materials to create mixed media collage, assemblage, bricolage, sculpture and installation. In addition to her solo exhibition at the Art Base, Basalt, Bell has recently exhibited at the Art Gyn, Denver, The Red Brick Center for the Arts, Carbondale Arts Gallery, and at the Colorado Mountain College Aspen Gallery.

Scholarships, College Credit & Discounts
Making Art Accessible
Applications for scholarship support are encouraged. Specific scholarships are funded by Ranch supporters, either through endowed funds or special gifts.
Many colleges and universities offer college credit for workshops taken at Anderson Ranch. Discounts are available for students and teachers.
