DATES: August 17 – 21, 2015

Ages: 4 – 5 / 9am – 12pm

Shhhh, what’s that you hear? There’s a rumble in the jungle! In this workshop we explore the extraordinary plants and animals of the rain forest. We take time to craft unique artistic creations that find inspiration from colorful birds of paradise, unusual tropical plants, and wild jungle animals. We make a quirky toucan with lots of bright feathers, a spotted leopard mask, and a giant rain forest watercolor painting. Each day we take time to read our favorite jungle stories and get our hands messy with lots of paint, glue, and glitter!

KATHERINE BELL graduated from Colorado College with a B.A. in Art History and Studio Art. For the last six years, she has worked with communities in the Bay Area, South America, Minnesota, and her hometown of Aspen engaging children through art. She is currently the Children’s Program and Outreach Coordinator for Anderson Ranch Arts Center.

Tuition: $275 / Studio Fee: $15 / Registration Fee: $25
