Sunday and Tuesday evenings, June through September, the Ranch features a 60-minute presentation by distinguished faculty members and Visiting Artists. These insightful talks dive into inspiration, the creative process and more.
This presentation is free and open to the public, however registration is required for in-person attendance. All on-campus workshop students will be pre-registered for this event.

In Conversation With
Elinor Carucci
Fine Art Photographer Elinor Carucci was born in Jerusalem. Her work has been exhibited worldwide and appeared in publications internationally. Her work is in the collections of MoMA, The Jewish Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, and many others. She was awarded the ICP Infinity Award in 2001, The Guggenheim Fellowship in 2002, and NYFA in 2010. Carucci has published five monographs to date: Closer, Diary of a Dancer, MOTHER, MIDLIFE, and most recently, The Collars of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Carucci teaches at the graduate programs of photography at School of Visual Arts and is represented by Edwynn Houk Gallery.
Andrea Jenkins Wallace
Vice President of Artistic Affairs, Artistic Director of Photography and New Media
After completing an undergraduate degree in Communications Media, Andrea Jenkins Wallace received her M.F.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder. Before coming to the Ranch in 2008, she worked for over ten years in academia, holding tenure track appointments at Lake Forest College and Willamette University. She is often an invited speaker to colleges and universities including Pratt Institute, the University of Denver and the University of South Florida. She has also been a featured speaker at the Denver Art Museum and the Stonewall National Museum. In 2021, Wallace co-taught a class entitled Photography, Race and Gender at Colorado College. Her film, Rochell and Brian, a documentary about teenage pregnancy, premiered at the New York International Independent Film Festival. She exhibits nationally and internationally with numerous shows throughout the Americas, Europe, China and the Middle East. Preferred Pronouns: She/Her
