Guest Faculty Lecture: Holly Hughes

Sunday and Tuesday evenings, June through September, the Ranch features a 60-minute presentation by distinguished faculty members and Visiting Artists. These insightful talks dive into inspiration, the creative process and more.

This presentation is free and open to the public, however registration is required for in-person attendance. All on-campus workshop students will be pre-registered for this event.

In Conversation With

Holly Hughes

Holly Hughes is a frequent Ranch faculty member and professor emeritus of painting at Rhode Island School of Design. Having exhibited nationally and internationally, Holly’s painting has been greatly influenced by both ceramic and printmaking practice and research. She loves “Salon Style” installations—the mixing of these genres on the wall—such as BLAZON created for the Dorsky Museum.

Liz Ferrill

Artistic Director of Painting, Drawing & Printmaking; Artists-in-Residence Program; Critical Dialogue Program

Elizabeth Ferrill received her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has had solo exhibitions nationally and internationally, including in Aspen, CO; Nashville, TN; Omaha, NE; New York; and Berlin, Germany. Liz is the Artistic Director of Painting, Drawing and Printmaking at Anderson Ranch.
