Miranda Lash is the Ellen Bruss Chief Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. Her curatorial practice spans a wide range of media and geographies, with a focus on how place, regional identity, and layered histories shape contemporary art. She has organized exhibitions, commissioned new works, and contributed to the development of modern and contemporary art collections throughout her career.
Lash recently served as co–Artistic Director of Prospect New Orleans’ sixth international art triennial, The Future is Present, the Harbinger is Home (2024–2025), co-curated with Ebony G. Patterson. She also serves as co-President of the Joan Mitchell Foundation and has curated exhibitions featuring artists including Deborah Jack, Suki Seokyeong Kang, Tomashi Jackson, Clarissa Tossin, Eamon Ore-Giron, and Jason Moran. Lash holds degrees in art history and architecture from Harvard University and Williams College.
As part of our Artists-in-Residence Program, we invite internationally recognized artists and critics to give critical studio feedback to our program participants allowing residents a chance to receive constructive input on the direction of their work. During their time at the Ranch, visiting critics typically give a public lecture and spend one to three days critiquing resident or student work.
