Summer light has unique qualities—distinct hues and intensities that possess a power to transform any subject matter from mundane to magical. In this workshop, photographers learn to see, experience and use light as never before while discovering light's potential to convey thought, emotion and state of mind. Through brief presentations and discussions, students learn to identify examples of the different principles and properties of natural light at various times of day including temperature, direction and quality, as well as consider its emotional, psychological and formal implications.
