Carving Away: woodcut reductions
Karen Kunc
Tuition $995
Code R1413-21
Challenge yourself to the mental gymnastics and unexpected results involved in reduction woodcut. The efficiency and logic of using one woodblock for successive layers of printing color and carving of details allow for a journey that is both meticulously planned and spontaneous at the same time. This workshop keeps the process alive with possibilities and innovations that subvert and reinvent the color reduction woodblock. The approach offers contemporary, creative methods that inspire boldness, simplicity and strong, artistic intention.
