Intimacy and the Photographic Portrait
This workshop is an immersion into the nuances of the intimate art of portraiture. Connection to one’s subjects–be they friends, family, or complete strangers–is the most important and difficult aspect of intimate portraiture. Participants focus on the primary elements of compelling portraiture: composition; lighting; subject; pose; gesture:, environment; and purpose. This workshop also addresses strategies for working with subjects, methods for making emotionally resonant photographs and exploration into the intentionality of the creator.
