Silvia Karman Cubiñá

Silvia Karman Cubiñá is the executive director and chief curator of The Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach where she has organized more than 30 major exhibitions including: Isaac Julien: Ten Thousand Waves (2011), Ugo Rondinone: good evening beautiful blue (2017), and Mickalene Thomas: Better Nights (2019). Cubiñá has curated numerous exhibitions, lectured extensively, and has participated in grant panels and award selection committees, including serving as a juror for both the Guggenheim Museum’s Hugo Boss Award 2006 and the 2008 Biennale de Lyon.
