Outreach

Community Programs

Anderson Ranch Arts Center is dedicated to sharing the arts with the local community and engaging the public through a variety of outreach programs.

Youth and School Programs

Through a wide range of educational opportunities, Anderson Ranch connects diverse communities and further enhances and expands our mission of making art accessible to everyone. We provide youth mentorships, studio art experiences, and school programming for elementary and high school students.

Scholarships

The Anderson Ranch Scholarship Program allows us to partner regionally and nationally with high schools to provide scholarships for students and teachers to attend a weeklong summer workshop. Partnerships include the Chicago High School of the Arts, Denver School of the Arts, Yampah Mountain High School, Rifle High School, Coal Ridge High School in New Castle and Grand Valley High School in Parachute.

Offsite Public Programs & Community Partnerships

Past community programs have included Love Notes, a community-wide effort to show support for LGBTQ+ youth, Wintersculpt, an annual snow sculpting competition on the pedestrian mall in downtown Aspen, the Anderson Ranch float in Aspen’s 4th of July Parade, and offsite educational art making activities. Community partners include the Aspen Youth Center, Whitcomb Assisted Living, The Launchpad, The Art Base, Red Brick, Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, Aspen Words and the school districts of Aspen, Basalt and Carbondale.
