Behind the Mask: printmaking magic
Jun 21 - 25, 2021
9AM - 3PM
Concept
Expand your child’s creativity through printmaking and an exploration into the animal world. Do dragonflies inspire dance? Perhaps tigers unlock a roar while butterflies inspire one to soar. Participants create a portrait that melds the human and beast into a stylized animal mask. The workshop looks at symmetry and proportion as students focus on facial details, layering texture, pattern and color to enhance their ideas. Final designs are transferred and carved into Soft Kut linoleum plates presented as a magical display of printmaking.
